No. The BATTEX sits inline with full power and data passthrough — your tool reads battery temperature, charge state, and trigger response exactly as it would without it.
A fully-loaded BATTEX on a 5Ah battery weighs about the same as your bare tool on a 6Ah — well within the weight range you already swap between.
Today it fits every DeWalt 20V MAX tool that takes a DCB-series battery, and every Milwaukee M18 tool that takes an M18-series battery. More platforms coming soon.
First production batch ships early–mid June. You'll get a tracking number the day yours leaves Bondurant.
